Meredith is a focused and detail-oriented attorney, with experience in civil litigation and construction contract drafting and review. As a litigator, Meredith is committed to achieving the best possible results for her clients, whether through pre-litigation negotiation, alternative dispute resolution, or litigation. When drafting or reviewing construction contracts, Meredith uses her construction dispute litigation experience to help clients—whether general contractors, subcontractors, architects, or owners—best manage the risks inherent in construction projects large and small.

Before joining Olafsen & Eilers, Meredith was a shareholder at one of Maine’s largest law firms, where she practiced civil litigation and construction law for over seven years. Meredith built her litigation practice advocating for clients in a wide range of matters, from residential construction disputes to large multi-district national litigation. She learned to tailor her approach to the unique needs of her clients and their individual matters.

Meredith began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Justice Jon D. Levy when he sat on Maine’s Supreme Judicial Court. As a law clerk for Maine’s highest court, Meredith honed her legal writing skills while learning what judges look for when reviewing a case, and how they are best persuaded.

Meredith lives with her husband and three daughters on a small family vegetable farm in Bowdoinham. Meredith has a keen interest in Maine agriculture and served as chair of the board of Maine Farmland Trust for many years. She now serves on the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry’s PFAS Fund Land Acquisition and Management Advisory Panel.
